  HOTEL DE GLACE

Hotel de Glace is a unique experience carved into the ice that Quebec's freezing winters produce. From January to March it offers an extraordinary overnight stay unlike any other you may have encountered before.

Stay 1 night in your own ice chamber with special themed suites built from scratch each year with fireplaces and special lighting are available.  You can even visit the Nordic relaxation area with outdoor spas and sauna.

The Hotel de Glace has 36 rooms and theme suites.

The rooms represent the original experience with their natural look and feature one, two or three queen beds.

The theme suites are individually designed with ice sculptures as well as artistic lighting. 

Premium theme suites also feature fireplaces specially made for Hotel du Glace and the Premium Deluxe Suite offers the ultimate in luxurious experiences with a fireplace and private spa.

All beds have a solid ice base, with a wooden bedspring and a mattress on top. Mattresses are covered with blankets, and people sleep inside arctic sleeping bags designed to stay warm in temperatures as low as -30°C. Bathrooms can be found nearby in the Celsius Pavilion.

Accommodation Insight

Guests have the opportunity to spend a night in this beautiful giant igloo. With its huge snow vaults and its crystalline ice sculptures, it literally can take your breath away.

 

Guests are transported from the comfort of downtown Quebec in the late afternoon and first brought to the Celsius Pavilion where they are briefed about their night in the snow. From pm guests are welcome to enter the Hotel de Glace and either head for their rooms for the night or sample an ice cold drink at the Ice Bar. 

​

When it's time to snuggle down for the night, choose from one of the comfortable rooms or indulge in one of the theme suites, complete with ice sculptures, beautifully cut from the ice. For a little more luxury, enjoy your own fireplace for a little extra warmth or perhaps even your own private spa!

Special arctic sleeping bags and blankets are provided to keep guests safe and warm during the night and special sleeping bags are also provided for children too.

At 9am the following morning, a hearty breakfast is served back in the warmth of the Celsius Pavilion. A welcome escape from the cold night. The atmosphere is buzzing with the excitement of the Hotel de Glace experience though before heading back to the city or perhaps out for one of the winter wonderland activities available close by.
