Necker Island is Sir Richard Branson’s private island paradise. This is barefoot luxury in a setting that’s just about as exclusive as it gets. Necker Island is located in the Caribbean in the beautiful and unspoiled British Virgin Islands.
Necker Island is normally hired exclusively, but on selected weeks during the
year you can book an individual room as a couple, single or as a family. They call these weeks ‘Celebration Weeks’.

Take the WHOLE Island
If you’d like the whole place to yourselves then hiring Necker Island exclusively is the way to go. What’s included? Nearly everything! On Necker the party never stops, but remember, what happens on Necker stays on Necker! The island comfortably sleeps 34 adults.
Exclusive hire includes use of the Great House with eight bedrooms and one master suite sleeping a total of 18 guests. There is also a bunkroom that can accommodate up to six additional children. Further accommodation is in the six Balinese-style houses dotted around the island each sleeping two guests in each house along with Temple House and Love Temple sleeping two guests each.
Book a room in 'Celebration Week'
Perhaps you like the idea of meeting new and interesting people? Or maybe you’re scoping the place out for an exclusive booking in the future (it’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it!)… For any of these reasons and many more there are selected weeks throughout the year when you can just book an individual room on Necker Island as a couple, individual or family for stays of 7 nights – They call these ‘Celebration Weeks’.
When you book an individual room you share the island, meeting at mealtimes and taking advantage of some of the fantastic water sports facilities and activities on offer. But don’t worry if you’re the shy type, the island is 74 acres so there’s plenty of space for some quiet sunbathing or a relaxing swim in one of the pools.
They usually hold a number of Celebration Weeks in September and October, but keep an eye on the website for the latest updates as additional weeks may pop up throughout the year.

THINGS TO DO
Snorkelling
You will find snorkels, masks and fins on both Turtle Beach and Main Beach. Both beaches offer excellent snorkelling depending upon weather conditions, so please check with a member of staff which is most suitable. For people wanting to venture further afield they will prepare our boats with fins, towels and a cooler with refreshments to explore other underwater locations.
Scuba Diving
The waters of the BVI have a superb range of dives. Wreck, reef and night dives can all be arranged to suit your level of adventure. If you are already PADI qualified they can arrange a number of excursions. If you’re not qualified, instruction can be arranged on island however an additional charge would apply.
Beach Party
A party on Main Beach is a night to remember forever! They set up large speakers, disco lights, a cushion area for looking at the stars, and of course have a fully stocked bar to enjoy. Incorporate a fancy dress theme if you want to really go all out, or hire a band to play on the stage at the edge of the beach.
The beaches
There are plenty of places on Necker Island to lie on the beach and enjoy the sun, sand and sea. Main Beach is where most of the water activities are based, and where you will find the Beach House and Pool Pavilion, where there are sun loungers to lie on. Turtle Beach is a peaceful palm-fringed beach, with hammocks hanging between the trees, sun loungers to relax on and snorkelling equipment for floating around in the calmer water with the sea life.
Zip Line
For a thrilling (and fast!) way to get down to Turtle Beach why not try the zip line?! Stretching from The Great House to the far end of the beach it only takes seconds, and they can arrange to have champagne and lunch ready on the beach in time for your arrival!
