Spend a very special arctic night sleeping in a room built entirely of snow and ice! The Snowman World Igloo Hotel offers a genuine igloo experience in Santa Claus Village on the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland.

The temperature inside the igloo room is just below zero degrees Celsius, while outside temperatures may drop as far as -30. Not to worry – all guests will be equipped with a sleeping bag designed for extreme conditions guaranteed to keep your mind and body warm throughout the night.

In the morning, after a refreshing night’s sleep, you’ll be served a lovely breakfast inside Restaurant Ensilumi. You’ll also receive the Arctic Night Survival Certificate.

The high-standard glass apartments provide a new way of enjoying the spectacular northern skies and natural phenomena like the Aurora Borealis relaxing in a hot tub or lying comfortably in bed.

Situated right next door to Santa Claus on the Arctic Circle, the modern glass structures have been decorated with stylish Scandinavian design. The apartments represent a glass igloo type accommodation with more space and luxury feel.

Each Superior Glass Apartment (40 m2) includes a living area, mini-kitchen, upstairs loft with glass ceiling and own private Hot Spring outdoor hot spa and sauna.

The luxurious glass apartments have been decorated with Lappish handicrafts and Scandinavian design brands such as Secto, Pentik, Pedro and Hay. The large windows and glass ceiling provide an unrestricted view of the northern sky and natural phenomena such as the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis).

The shape of the glass structures is inspired by Lapland’s classic “kota” huts, designed and used by the indigenous Sámi people who lead a nomadic reindeer herder lifestyle and slept in the portable tepee-style dwellings.
