Sobah’s Restaurant

Named after Chef Sobah, the ‘Best Chef in the Maldives’ award winner, Sobah’s is a traditional Maldivian restaurant located on an uninhabited island only 15 minutes away by speedboat from Soneva Fushi.

The cuisine is uniquely Maldivian with modern twists, and is prepared using traditional cooking methods. The beach restaurant seats only 18 for dinner and is open two nights per week, subject to a minimum number of diners. On completion of the dinner, guests will be given an introduction to the starry night sky from our resident astronomer, while enjoying some of our finest digestives. A not-to-be-missed experience.

When we created Soneva Fushi, we took the opportunity to seize a playground for our imaginations. It was our place to break the rules, to delve into fantasies, to relive childhood wonder. As such, we encourage you to dream up your own experiences.

Picnic on a private island and let us deliver you by speedboat. Nestle away in the jungle of Soneva Fushi. Pick the spot that piques your own fancy and craft a menu of your desires with our executive chef. Of course, you will probably want to accompany it with a little passion from the vine; select sips from our 7,000 bottle subterranean wine cellar.

The Observatory

Gazing at the stars from out here in the midst of the ocean, far from the lights of civilization, we were amazed at how much could be seen with just the naked eye. And so we were inspired to take it to the next level.

Peer through the lenses of our state-of-the-art telescope and set your eyes upon the Plough of Saturn and its serene, translucent curves. Count the moons of Jupiter. Take advantage or our remote island locale, and see celestial bodies invisible from Europe and much of the world.

Moreover, Soneva Fushi is the first resort in the world to introduce 3D astronomy in the property.

Diving at Soneva Fushi

The Soleni Dive Centre’s multi-lingual PADI instructors as well as the small dive group sizes ensure that you get a world-class diving experience, whether you’re doing your first or your hundredth dive. There are many dive sites with rich marine life around the resort, sure to tempt all marine enthusiasts.
